Dyneon and Arkema have entered into a long-term agreement for the supply of HCFC22 in Europe
Dyneon, a world leader in fluoropolymers, and Arkema, a world leader in fluorochemicals, announce the signature of a long-term contract to supply HCFC22* to Dyneon in Burgkirchen (Germany). HCFC22 is a raw material used to produce TFE**, a monomer for PTFE*** and various fluoroelastomers.
According to Pierre Chanoine, Executive Vice President Performance Products, Уthis agreement is designed to provide Dyneon with long-term access to HCFC22 in Europe, and is a further illustration of ArkemaТs long-term commitment to fluorochemicalsФ.
"For Dyneon the agreement with Arkema is a key cornerstone to secure our long term supply for one of our most important raw materials. With Arkema we found a partner, which helps us building a solid base for further sustainable growth", said Michael G.Peters, managing director of Dyneon GmbH.
The HCFC22 will be produced on ArkemaТs Pierre-Benite industrial site (France), from 2010.
